Job Description

System One is partnering with a well-established Tulsa company to hire a Sales Tax Accountant to support multi-state sales & property tax compliance and related reporting.Responsibilities:

Prepare and file multi-state sales tax returns (monthly/quarterly/annual) and amendments
Register for sales tax in new states as needed; maintain filing calendars/checklists
Reconcile sales tax activity to the general ledger; research and clear variances
Support audits and respond to tax notices; assist with tax research as needed
Maintain sales tax rates and validate data integrity within the ERP system
Handle annual report tracking/filings and entity registrations with Secretaries of State
Assist with light bookkeeping for non-operating entities

Requirements:

3+ years multi-state sales/property tax experience plus 2+ years general accounting experience
Strong Excel skills (comfortable extracting data, building queries/reports, and manipulating large datasets)
Analytical, detail-oriented, able to manage deadlines and competing priorities
Professional communication skills; discretion with confidential information
