- Lead and coordinate the flow of sales/use tax information with clients to ensure accurate filings and advisory deliverables.
- Review workpapers, tax returns, and accounting entries related to sales and use tax.
- Research and resolve complex multi-state sales/use technical issues.
- Meet with clients and vendors to identify options for automated sales tax solutions and work with our team to implement and maintain these solutions.
- Participate in the billing and collection process for SALT engagements.
- Identify opportunities to provide additional sales and use tax services and actively market our SALT expertise to clients.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff in sales and use tax topics.
- Develop specialized multi-state sales and use tax knowledge within industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, Construction, Wholesale and Distribution, and Information Technology.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or JD preferred but not required.
- Superior analytical, technical, and communication skills with strong knowledge of sales and use tax accounting/technology.
- Proven ability to identify and address client needs in the sales and use tax space: building and maintaining networks, communicating value propositions, managing resources, budgets, and billing.
- Experience supervising staff and leading multi-state sales and use tax projects.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Access, Excel, and other sales tax software/technology.
- Prior experience working with or at a state Department of Revenue is preferred but not required (audit, compliance, or policy roles).
- Willingness to travel to client sites and work additional hours as needed.
The annual base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $115,000. This range includes the anticipated low and high end of TSA’s salary range for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including experience, education and/or skill level.
