Job Description
Provide a list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate: Client Interaction & Requirements Gathering: Meetings with clients: Participating in discovery sessions, status updates, workshops, and Q&A sessions. Gathering business requirements: Eliciting needs from stakeholders through interviews, surveys, and observation. Documenting requirements: Creating user stories, functional specifications, and process flows. Presenting solutions: Explaining proposed Salesforce configurations or customizations to clients. Providing updates: Communicating progress, challenges, and next steps to clients and project managers. II. Salesforce Configuration & Development: Configuring Salesforce: Setting up objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and automation (Workflow Rules, Process Builder, Flow). Customizing Salesforce: Developing custom components, Apex code, Visualforce pages, or Lightning Web Components (if in a technical role). Data management: Importing, exporting, cleansing, and migrating data. Building reports and dashboards: Creating and refining reports to meet client reporting needs. Testing configurations and code: Performing unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Troubleshooting issues: Investigating and resolving bugs or user-reported problems. III. Project Management & Collaboration: Updating project management tools: Tracking tasks, progress, and time spent on activities. Collaborating with team members: Working with other consultants, developers, administrators, and project managers. Participating in team meetings: Daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Reviewing work: Providing feedback on configurations or code developed by other team members. Managing scope: Ensuring that project work stays within the agreed-upon scope. IV. Learning & Development: Staying updated on Salesforce releases: Researching new features and functionalities. Learning new Salesforce products or technologies: Continuously expanding knowledge base. Pursuing certifications: Studying for and taking Salesforce certification exams. Reading industry blogs and forums: Staying informed about best practices and trends. V. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Creating and updating documentation: Developing user guides, administrator guides, and technical documentation. Sharing knowledge: Presenting findings or best practices to colleagues. Maintaining a knowledge base: Contributing to internal wikis or documentation repositories.
