Job Description

This position is responsible for performing general Salesforce and other system administrations duties, assisting with ongoing development of the ISU Foundation's Salesforce instance, helping deliver high quality enhancements, and providing first-tier support for the organization.Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide administration and technical support for the constituent database system (Salesforce) and related applications including adjusting permission levels, customizing features, troubleshooting user issues, and more.Monitor and communicate system releases and issues.Discover, investigate, and recommend system best practices.Assist with other system applications, such as Okta and Marketing Cloud.Assist with training staff in the use of Salesforce and related applications.Provide day-to-day user support and assist users with best practices to improve and increase their knowledge of Salesforce and related applications.Maintain ongoing documentation of processes as business needs evolve or features are added to Salesforce.Provide quality user experience with a professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.Identify, diagnose, resolve, and document technical problems.Collaborate with IT staff members in the development and implementation of IT projects as assigned via internal SCRUM team.Assist in creation, maintenance, and implementation of user stories.

QualificationsEducation & Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, engineering, or related field required.2 years of system administration or solution design.

Desired Skills & Experience

Ability to analyze business requirements and determine solutions including business process creation utilizing a wide variety of tools or methods.Ability to apply technical/functional expertise, manage and improve processes, practice self-development, champion change and innovation, foster collaboration, and inspire trust.Experience managing cloud systems and environments, user access, and system settings.Salesforce expertise, specifically within the system administration role, is preferred.Salesforce Administrator Certification or other Salesforce certifications are preferred.Knowledge of Agile framework is preferred.Experience working in fundraising or higher education industries is preferred.Experience as lead technical analyst on systems projects or implementation is preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal. and customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical clients and to motivate people.Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be adaptable, flexible, and self-directed.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software and technologies.Must be able to handle several activities simultaneously with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines and accuracy.Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.Creativity, patience, a sense of humor and a belief in our organizational mission of: Aligning donor passion and generosity to advance Iowa State University's land grant ideals
