Job Title: Salesforce Configuration Specialist• Location: Remote, with availability aligned to Central Time business hours for stakeholder collaboration.• Work Setting: Remote• Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (3–6 months), based on performance and business requirements.
JOB SUMMARY
The Salesforce Configuration Specialist is a contract role responsible for hands-on configuration and enhancement work across the organization's Salesforce platform, with particular emphasis on Marketing Cloud/Pardot and AI tools. This role focuses on structured, project-based configuration work and is well suited to an independent contributor who can manage scoped deliverables with minimal oversight.
The Salesforce Configuration Specialist works closely with the Salesforce Product team and cross-functional stakeholders across Client Services, Clinical Operations, Revenue Cycle Management, and other departments to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and related applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Cloud and Pardot Configuration
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Marketing Cloud features such as campaign influence and ROI reporting.
Build and maintain email templates, automations, journeys, and landing pages in Marketing Cloud and Pardot.
Support lead scoring, lead routing, and lifecycle management configurations in partnership with marketing and sales stakeholders.
Troubleshoot Marketing Cloud and Pardot data synchronization issues with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
Platform Configuration and Enhancement
Configure and maintain Sales Cloud and Service Cloud functionality, including objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and validation rules.
Configure and support OmniChannel routing setup, including presence statuses, queues, and routing configurations.
Implement and maintain Agentforce and Einstein features for case management automation.
Design, configure, and maintain Flow-based automation for assigned enhancement projects.
Complete structured enhancement work from requirements handoff through deployment, including documentation and change tracking for assigned items.
Follow established platform governance standards and declarative development best practices.
Reporting and Data
Build and maintain reports and dashboards to support stakeholder visibility into marketing and sales operations.
Perform bulk data management using Data Loader or similar tools for assigned projects, including imports, exports, updates, and deduplication.
Independent Work and Stakeholder Communication
Work independently against a defined scope of assigned tasks and enhancement requests, escalating blockers proactively.
Manage time and priorities across assigned deliverables without requiring day-to-day direction.
Communicate progress, timelines, and blockers clearly and proactively to the Salesforce Product team and relevant stakeholders.
Build effective working relationships with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and confirm scope.
Document completed work clearly for handoff and knowledge continuity.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
5–10 years of experience in a Salesforce configuration or administration role.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud and Pardot, including automations, journeys, and campaign configuration.
Working knowledge of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud configuration.
Experience with OmniChannel configuration and routing.
Experience with Flow configuration, custom reports and dashboards, and bulk data management using Data Loader or similar tools.
Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage assigned scope, and deliver against timelines with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant.
Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant.
Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud.
Salesforce Certified Administrator.
Experience implementing Agentforce and Einstein tools.
Preferred
Experience supporting healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory, or other regulated workflows, including HIPAA-regulated environments.
