Job Description

NxtGen Gov Solutions is a technology firm focused on delivering modern, secure, and efficient solutions to public sector organizations. We specialize in implementing and optimizing platforms like Salesforce to help government clients streamline operations and improve services, collaborating closely with agencies to build high-quality, scalable systems. NGS is a woman-owned (WOSB/EDWOSB) federal technology solutions provider that values innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement, with an inclusive, mission-driven environment where technical expertise directly supports public service outcomes.

Role Description

The Salesforce QA/Test Engineer is a full-time, remote role (U.S., multi-state eligible), supporting a U.S. Air Force Salesforce platform modernization effort. This role owns sprint gate quality review for an agile development team, planning, designing, and executing test cases for Salesforce implementations and related integrations to ensure configurations, customizations, and new features meet functional and performance requirements. Day-to-day work includes manual testing, documenting defects, facilitating incremental user acceptance testing, and verifying fixes across multiple test cycles. The engineer maintains and executes regression test suites following each sprint deployment and coordinates cross-team integration testing at sprint close, contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes and test documentation.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
  • 3+ years of QA/test engineering experience on Salesforce programs, including sandbox testing and user acceptance testing
  • Experience with performance testing at scale and integration testing, including custom objects, workflows, and integrations
  • Ability to document defects clearly, communicate test results, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to testing
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

  • Active Public Trust, with ability toSecret or TS/SCI clearance
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
  • ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent
  • Familiarity with DoD/Air Force scheduling, training management, or data integration systems
  • Experience with version control and issue-tracking tools
  • Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Experience with OmniStudio (OmniScript, FlexCards)
  • Familiarity with Flosum or similar Salesforce-native DevOps/release management tools
