Position: Salesforce Technical Lead Location: Remote Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership skills, guiding a team of developers and administrators while ensuring quality, security, and best practices across every release. This role owns the technical execution of projects end to end, from requirement analysis and solution build through integration, data migration, and deployment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers and administrators, providing technical direction, code reviews, and task allocation.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and build solutions on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Develop and oversee Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and automations, following Salesforce best practices and governor limits.
- Design and build REST API integrations between Salesforce and ERP systems such as SAP HANA and Oracle NetSuite.
- Own the CI/CD pipeline, source control strategy, and release management process.
- Plan and execute deployments and migrations across sandboxes and production, including cutover and rollback plans.
- Lead data migration, org merge, and org assessment activities, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Implement and maintain the Salesforce security and sharing model in line with business and compliance needs.
- Design and build reports and dashboards that give stakeholders actionable insights.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver on time and to quality.
- Identify technical risks early and propose practical solutions.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience working on the Salesforce platform.
- Sales Cloud & Service Cloud: Strong hands-on knowledge of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, including lead-to-cash, case management, entitlements, omni-channel routing, and knowledge.
- Salesforce platform: Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, governor limits, multi-tenancy, Apex (triggers, batch, queueable, schedulable), Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative automation.
- Integration: Good knowledge of REST (and SOAP) APIs and integration patterns, with hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with ERP systems such as SAP HANA and Oracle NetSuite, including middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi) and event-driven approaches (Platform Events, CDC).
- CI/CD & DevOps: Good knowledge of Salesforce DevOps practices and tools such as Git, SFDX/Salesforce CLI, Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Deployment & migration planning: Experience planning and executing release, deployment, and environment/sandbox strategies, including rollback planning.
- Data migration, org merge & org assessment: Proven experience with large-scale data migration (Data Loader, ETL tools), org merge/consolidation initiatives, and health/technical assessments of existing Salesforce orgs.
- Security model: In-depth knowledge of the Salesforce security model profiles, permission sets and permission set groups, roles and role hierarchy, OWD, sharing rules, manual and Apex sharing, field-level security, Shield, and SSO/identity.
- Reporting & dashboards: Good knowledge of Salesforce reports, report types, and dashboards, including dynamic dashboards and reporting on complex data models.
- Leadership & communication: Strong leadership and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with business and technical stakeholders.
- Teamwork: Collaborative team player who works effectively across onshore/offshore and cross-functional teams.
- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Administrator, or Platform App Builder.
- Experience with MuleSoft or other integration platforms.
- Exposure to Experience Cloud, CPQ, or Field Service.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
