Sanitation Technician - 3Rd Shift

Essential Functions

• Responsible for effective sanitation of the various plant equipment and departments.

• Must be able to follow equipment cleaning instructions as listed in the Sanitation Procedures Manual.

• Responsible for compliance with GMP's, proper sanitation, and housekeeping in area.

• Responsible for use of required safety equipment and complying with proper safety procedures including wearing proper protective clothing, steal toed boots and safety googles/face shield at all times.

• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

• Must become familiar with cleaning chemicals by name, function, and usage rate and become chemical certified.

• Must be able to follow verbal instructions from Supervisor.

• Must be detail oriented and be able to work independently.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience operating a pallet jack instead.

• Experience using a variety of equipment including a power washer.

• Minimum 6 months of previous sanitation experience.

Competencies

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance procedures a variety of instructions, diagrams or schedules.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will work regularly in wet and slippery conditions.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• The Sanitation team works the 3rd shift

• Shift hours 10:30pm-7am
