SAP HCM Payroll Functional Analyst

Title: SAP HCM Payroll Functional Analyst Duration: 6 months (Ability to extend) Location: Remote Overview: The client's IT Department is seeking an experienced consultant as SAP HCM Payroll Functional Analyst to support the SAP HCM Payroll (PY) module and related HR modules (OM,PA,TM), including both configuration and customized solutions for payroll, pensions, time evaluations, payroll schemas, wage types, Taxes/BSI maintenance, voluntary and involuntary deductions. Consultant must have a good working knowledge or have configured in other related and integrated components and business processes such as personnel administration and benefits. Consultant would have full responsibility of HCM Payroll module Projects and Production Support activities.

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Receive knowledge transfer from current SAP HCM Payroll Analyst
• Provide support on Questions and Incidents reported by end user community; including troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrections to solve issues in Production systems
• Collaborate with business and technical teams (when necessary) to design solutions to fulfill business requirements; define, design, build, test and deploy and support solutions.
• Use problem solving tools and techniques to independently implement new solutions, track and resolve highly complex, integrated system problems and issues. Proactively anticipate problems and implement ways to avoid them.
• Communicate (both verbally and written) effectively with customers and team members on all aspects related to highly complex and integrated system processes, applications, proposed solutions, projects, and modifications.
• Lead team projects, activities, and discussions, providing constructive feedback and mentoring to peers and junior analysts. Assign project tasks to other analysts and ensure completion.
• Serve as an internal consultant and project coordinator from project scoping all the way through post go-live production support.
• Participate on multi-member large projects, often serving as the lead in assisting with managing HCM related risk, scope, development, and delivery of the projects.
• Translate unclear business objectives into a set of requirements, which can be supported by a process/functional solution, which may include complex design requirements. Be able to present both verbal and written recommendations from the requirements gathering, analysis and design.
• Maintain system integrity by following best practices for configuring, developing, testing, and maintaining systems as well as security and authorizations.
• Monitor HCM support packs released by SAP and coordinate implementation.
• Understand business processes in SAP Payroll and the processes that integrate with it.
• Provide knowledge transfer to SAP Payroll new hire and other HCM team members.
• Desirable Skills: Familiarity with configuring pay rules for Collective Bargaining Agreements

Deliverables: The following items will be delivered but not limited to:

• Resolve assigned tickets/incidents
• Implement HCM Support Packs and Year End changes required for transacting in 2027.
• Carry forward Payroll related Configuration, Testing and Cutover actions for Chart of Account Project currently in progress.
• Author Business Process Design and Workflows Design Documents
• Author/Update Functional and/or technical specifications
• Author and Execute Test scripts (unit, parallel, interface/integration testing)
• Author Training documents for new functionality
• Knowledge Transfer/Training to SAP HCM Team for all work performed during contract
• Other deliverables as identified through Knowledge Transfer
