Job Description
Minimum Skills and Abilities Required:
- Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented.
- Reliable transportation, valid Driver’s License, and current insurance.
- Perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as in climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. Activities often also require considerable use of the arms and legs, such as in the physical handling of materials, climbing stairs, and kneeling to clean under approximately 40 to 50 beds per day. Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a representative of Brett/Robinson, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other employees of Brett/Robinson, owners, guests, and other members of the community.
- Use personal vehicle to deliver items to Satellite properties.
- Take the lead on the organization of Satellite housekeeping linen room.
- Replenish supplies, such as trash bags, soaps, and bathroom items.
- Load and unload supplies and linen carts.
- Make kitchen and bathroom sets.
- Fill cleaning product bottles.
- Assist housekeepers by loading dishwasher, removing used linens, and making beds with clean linens.
- Collect used linens for laundering and transport them to designated area
- Report safety hazards, accidents, and injuries.
- Attend departmental meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Uniform apparel required. Clothes must fit properly, be washed and pressed, and not have holes.
- Maintain personal hygiene with neat appearance, including conservative hair, make-up, jewelry, and fingernails.
- Work environment includes exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, and various cleaning products.
- Ability to work flexible hours, 40 hours per week, seven days per week according to seasonal needs.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are expected in accordance with company policy.
I understand that employment as a Housekeeper at Brett/Robinson Gulf Corporation is of a seasonal nature. My employment hours and days of work will vary each week and will diminish either partially or completely at the end of the season.
