About the Role

As a Saw Operator at Ironworks Welding, Inc., you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining an automated bandsaw to cut and trim materials to precise specifications. You'll work from blueprints and work orders, ensuring quality through careful measurement and inspection while upholding our strong safety culture.

What You'll Do

• Measure, mark, and verify material dimensions using tapes, calipers, and squares
• Cut and trim work pieces to exact specifications
• Inspect cut materials for accuracy, squareness, and surface condition
• Perform routine maintenance including blade changes
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Comply with all safety policies, codes, and regulations

What We're Looking For

• Ability to read measurements and perform basic math for tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
• Adaptability to changing conditions and operational demands
• Commitment to safety and maintaining a drug & alcohol-free workplace
• Valid Driver's License

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating a forklift or skid steer (preferred)
• Must pass pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and background check
• Must pass a motor vehicle record check

Work Environment

This position operates within an Ironworks Welding, Inc. facility during normal or extended business hours. The role may involve physical exertion and exposure to dust and noise in a manufacturing setting. Extended hours and weekend work may be required.
