Job Description:
Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and care to those in need. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient visits, scheduling care, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services. This position is ideal for individuals with previous home health experience who can thrive in a high-energy, deadline-driven environment. This position is an in-office position, Tuesday through Saturday (8:30am-5:30pm).
Essential Functions:
1. Schedule patient visits and home health care services according to care plans and patient needs.
2. Coordinate with field staff, including nurses, therapists, and other caregivers, to ensure appropriate patient coverage.
3. Ensure proper documentation for scheduling, changes, and patient updates in the system.
4. Communicate with patients, families, and medical professionals to confirm visits and resolve any scheduling conflicts or concerns.
5. Handle incoming calls, emails, and other inquiries with excellent customer service.
6. Prioritize patient needs in a high-pressure environment.
7. Adhere to all company policies, Medicare regulations, and HIPAA
8. Monitors clinicians’ schedules to maintain a productive workload.
9. Monitors scheduling reports to ensure schedule and visit accuracy.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in home health scheduling or related healthcare industry required.
2. Minimum of 1-2 years in a scheduling role, where you manage patients’ schedules, or a related field, preferably in the healthcare industry.
3. Strong understanding of insurance terminology, benefits, and healthcare coverage.
4. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Experience working in a home health agency or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
8. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
9. Must be able to work effectively in an in-office setting.
10.Experience or knowledge of KanTime software a plus.
11.Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
