Job Description

Position: School Sign Language Interpreter (Group Setting)Location: Denton, TX (7620X)Schedule: Full-Time (2025-26 School Year) Compensation: Up to $52/hr (W2 position with benefits)

Connected Health Care is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in classroom settings in the Denton area.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide group ASL interpreting in mainstream classrooms
Facilitate communication access for DHH student groups
Adapt interpreting style for educational content (PSE/SEE/ASL)
Support teacher-student interactions in group settings
Assist with note-taking accommodations when needed
Collaborate with DHH itinerant staff
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Requirements:

Texas BEI Certification (any level preferred but not required)
RID/NIC certification accepted in lieu of BEI
Experience with K-12 educational interpreting
Ability to interpret academic subjects appropriately
