Building Connections Academy – Martinez & Concord, CA
$22–$28 per hour | Paid RBT Training | Growth Opportunities
Make an impact every day.Join the supportive, mission-driven team at Building Connections Academy, a special education Nonpublic School serving students with autism and developmental differences. Our team works together to help students build communication, social, academic, and life skills in a structured and encouraging environment.
We are hiring both full-time and part-time paraprofessionals who want meaningful work and the opportunity to grow within a supportive organization.
This position is ideal for individuals interested in special education, psychology, ABA therapy, child development, or behavioral health careers.
Position Details:
Location: Martinez & Concord, CA.Schedule: In-person.
  • Full-Time: Up to 40 hours per week.
  • Part-Time: Flexible scheduling with a minimum of 12 hours / 3 days per week.
  • Hours available between 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
Certification:Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days (paid training provided).

What You'll Do:
  • Provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students.
  • Implement individualized learning and behavior support plans.
  • Support communication, social, and life skill development.
  • Collect data to track student progress.
  • Encourage independence and positive relationships.
  • Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and team members.
Your work will directly help students build skills that support long-term independence and success.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking individuals who are:
  • Passionate about helping children succeed.
  • Patient, positive, and team-oriented.
  • Interested in special education or behavioral health.
  • Comfortable supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred.
  • RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Required Health Clearances:
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella).
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox).
  • Hepatitis B.
  • TB clearance within the past 4 years.
