Building Connections Academy – Martinez & Concord, CA

$22–$28 per hour | Paid RBT Training | Growth Opportunities

Make an impact every day.Join the supportive, mission-driven team at Building Connections Academy, a special education Nonpublic School serving students with autism and developmental differences. Our team works together to help students build communication, social, academic, and life skills in a structured and encouraging environment.

We are hiring both full-time and part-time paraprofessionals who want meaningful work and the opportunity to grow within a supportive organization.

This position is ideal for individuals interested in special education, psychology, ABA therapy, child development, or behavioral health careers.

Position Details:

Location: Martinez & Concord, CA.Schedule: In-person.

Full-Time: Up to 40 hours per week.
Part-Time: Flexible scheduling with a minimum of 12 hours / 3 days per week.
Hours available between 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.

Certification:Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days (paid training provided).

What You'll Do:

Provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students.
Implement individualized learning and behavior support plans.
Support communication, social, and life skill development.
Collect data to track student progress.
Encourage independence and positive relationships.
Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and team members.

Your work will directly help students build skills that support long-term independence and success.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking individuals who are:

Passionate about helping children succeed.
Patient, positive, and team-oriented.
Interested in special education or behavioral health.
Comfortable supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred.
RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Required Health Clearances:

MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella).
Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).
Varicella (Chicken Pox).
Hepatitis B.
TB clearance within the past 4 years.
