Job Description:

The LSU School of Music is seeking a temporary Operations Assistant (or Operations Coordinator) to support the Director of Operations with a range of administrative and operational responsibilities during the summer of 2026. This position will play a key role in closing out the current academic year's operations, conducting annual inventory processes, and preparing facilities, resources, and workflows for the upcoming academic year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Year-end tasks-cleaning lockers, prepping rooms, redistributing equipment, building checks, 30%

• Annual inventory assistance, 30%

• Documenting and training-training incoming student workers and creating procedural guides for next year's operations, 30%

• Assist with summer events and facility rentals, 5%

• Additional duties as assigned, 5%

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education Level: Bachelor's

• Degree substitute: LSU values skills, experience, and expertise. Candidates who have relevant experience in key job responsibilities are encouraged to apply-a degree is not required as long as the candidate meets the required years of experience specified

• Specific experience: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in basic computer applications.
