Job Description

The School Psychologist provides comprehensive psychological services to support students' academic achievement, social-emotional well-being, and behavioral success within the educational setting. Working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams, the School Psychologist helps identify barriers to learning, develop effective interventions, and promote positive outcomes for all students.Primary responsibilities include conducting psychoeducational evaluations, interpreting assessment results, preparing comprehensive written reports, and determining eligibility for special education services. The School Psychologist participates in eligibility, multidisciplinary, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, provides consultation to educators and families regarding academic, behavioral, and mental health concerns, develops evidence-based intervention strategies, conducts Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), assists with Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and provides individual or group counseling services as appropriate. Additional responsibilities include supporting crisis intervention efforts, monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, collaborating with community agencies and service providers, and participating in ongoing professional development.Qualified candidates will possess a Master's, Education Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program and hold a valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessment, special education regulations, behavioral intervention strategies, and evidence-based practices. Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and report-writing skills are essential.
