Job Description

School Psychologist – Elementary School

Location: Skokie, Illinois

About the Role

Navra is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year. This position will support students in grades K–2 at a designated building site.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced School Psychologists and new graduates looking to join a school community while receiving ongoing support from the Navra team. The position is fully onsite and offers a consistent Monday–Friday school schedule.

Position Details

  • Start Date: August 18, 2026

  • End Date: June 5, 2027

  • Schedule: 7:45 AM–2:55 PM, approximately 7 hours per day

  • Lunch: Unpaid

  • Grade Levels: Kindergarten–2nd Grade

  • Caseload: Building-based

  • Setting: Onsite school-based position

  • Interview Process: Virtual interview, typically within 24–48 hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to identify students’ academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs.

  • Participate in eligibility determinations, IEP meetings, reevaluations, and multidisciplinary team meetings.

  • Interpret assessment results and provide clear, actionable recommendations to families, teachers, administrators, and other school professionals.

  • Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families to develop appropriate interventions and student support plans.

  • Support students’ academic achievement, social-emotional development, behavior, and overall school success.

  • Assist with progress monitoring, data collection, and implementation of evidence-based interventions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, evaluation reports, and records in accordance with school, state, and federal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement.

  • Knowledge of special education evaluation procedures, IEP processes, and applicable state and federal regulations.

  • Strong assessment, consultation, collaboration, and communication skills.

  • New graduates with appropriate Illinois credentials are encouraged to apply.

  • Ability to work onsite for the duration of the assignment.
