Job Description

Location: Moncks Corner, SCJob Type: Full-Time, Grades Elementary-High SchoolSchedule: Monday–Friday (37.5 hours per week)Weekly Pay: $1,875 - $2,026 (based on experience)Contract: School-year position with potential for renewal

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Social Worker to support school students in grades K–12 in Moncks Corner, SC. The ideal candidate will provide direct counseling, collaborate with families and staff, and help build a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment that promotes both emotional and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling for students needing social, emotional, or behavioral support.
Conduct assessments and develop evidence-based intervention plans.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address student needs.
Serve as a liaison between school teams, families, and community resources.
Participate in crisis intervention, safety planning, and restorative practices.
Support IEP and 504 processes as required.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Social Worker license (LMSW or LLMSW) and meet South Carolina requirements for School Social Worker approval.
Master’s degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
Experience in a school or youth-serving setting preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with high school students and diverse family populations.
