As a School-Based Science Teacher in Washington, DC, you will:

• Deliver engaging science instruction aligned with district and state standards across one or more scientific disciplines.

• Develop and implement lesson plans that encourage inquiry, critical thinking, and hands-on learning.

• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students.

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and scientific curiosity.

• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and use data to guide instruction.

• Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, families, and support staff to promote student success.

• Maintain accurate student records and comply with district policies and educational regulations.

• Foster students' understanding of scientific concepts while preparing them for academic and real-world success.

Job Details

• Position: Contract (Option to Renew)

• Schedule: Full-Time | Monday Friday

• Location: Washington, DC

• Grade Level: Elementary, Middle, or High School opportunities available

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education, Science, or a related field

• Experience teaching science in a school setting preferred

• Strong classroom management, instructional planning, and communication skills

• Ability to create engaging, standards-based science lessons

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
