Scrub TechFull-Time | $25–28/hrSchedule: Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM–5:00 PM | Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PMLocation: Fayetteville, GA 30214About Southern Pain and SpineSouthern Pain and Spine is a leading interventional pain management practice serving North Georgia and Metro Atlanta. With multiple convenient locations and a strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, we help patients move toward lasting relief.The OpportunityIn this hands-on role, you will assist the surgical team during operative procedures, maintain sterile technique, and support patient safety from preparation through recovery. You’ll work closely with the Registered Nurse and surgical team to achieve identified patient outcomes and uphold facility goals.What You’ll DoSurgical Support & Clinical Excellence
- Assist the surgical team during operative procedures
- Provide technical assistance to surgeons, surgical nurses, and anesthesiologists
- Pass instruments and supplies; hold retractors; cut sutures; perform tasks as directed by the surgeon
- Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and draping
- Prepare dressings or bandages and assist with application following surgery
- Prepare, care for, and dispose of tissue specimens for laboratory analysis
- Observe patients’ vital signs to assess physical condition
- Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation
- Arrange and inventory sterile setup for operations
- Scrub arms and hands and assist surgical team with gowning and gloving
- Wash and sterilize equipment using germicides and sterilizers
- Operate, assemble, adjust, and monitor sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and diagnostic equipment
- Maintain supply of fluids (plasma, saline, blood, glucose) during operations
- Clean and restock operating room; arrange instruments per preference card
- Order surgical supplies
- Communicate accurate and timely information to the Registered Nurse
- Record pertinent information clearly, accurately, and timely
- Monitor and continually assess operating room conditions and team needs
- Maintain files and records of surgical procedures
- Complete annual mandatory training by assigned due date
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Maintain focus and composure in a fast-paced operating room environment
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and sterile technique discipline
- Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with surgical teams
- Exhibit emotional maturity, stability, flexibility, and high energy
- Take pride in precision, organization, and patient safety
- High School Diploma or GED required
- BLS certification required
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting required
- Completion of a recognized Surgical Tech program preferred
- Ambulatory Surgery Center and Pain Management experience preferred
- EHR experience (Athena preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under operating room stress with emotional maturity and stability
- Ability to verify visual and audio alarms on machines
