Role: Scrum Master

Location: Denver, CO (Onsite)Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for cross-functional software development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Scrum, Agile methodologies, stakeholder management, sprint planning, and Agile coaching, with experience supporting engineering teams developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, AWS, REST APIs, Oracle, and CI/CD technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
Coach Scrum teams and Product Owners on Agile principles, Scrum framework, and continuous improvement practices.
Track sprint progress, team velocity, burndown charts, capacity planning, and delivery metrics to ensure predictable sprint execution.
Identify, escalate, and remove impediments impacting team productivity and sprint commitments.
Coordinate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to manage cross-team dependencies and delivery timelines.
Monitor project risks, issues, blockers, and milestones while ensuring adherence to Agile governance and delivery standards.
Maintain Agile artifacts in Jira and Confluence, including user stories, sprint boards, dashboards, release plans, and project documentation.
Facilitate release planning and ensure alignment between sprint deliverables and business priorities.
Drive continuous improvement by implementing retrospective action items and optimizing Agile processes.
Support engineering teams working in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, REST APIs, Oracle, AWS, and CI/CD environments.
Prepare and present Agile delivery reports, sprint metrics, and project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Foster a collaborative, self-organizing, high-performing team culture focused on quality and continuous delivery.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile software development teams.
Strong expertise in Scrum, Agile frameworks, and Agile coaching.
Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for Agile project management.
Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing Agile delivery across multiple teams.
Strong knowledge of Agile metrics, sprint planning, velocity tracking, and release planning.
Experience working with software development teams using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, REST APIs, Oracle, AWS, and CI/CD.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Experience managing project risks, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps.
Excellent leadership, facilitation, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification.
Experience in large-scale Agile transformations or enterprise Agile environments.
Familiarity with DevOps, cloud platforms, and CI/CD practices.
Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, or other regulated industries.
