Sdlc/Engineering Ops Program Manager (Codebase Navigation & Launch Readiness)

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly organized, operationally strong Technical Program Manager to support a critical compliance-focused program within the Kids & Families organization. This role is essential for maintaining stability and accuracy across a cross-Alphabet monitoring system that ensures children’s data remains safe, properly handled, and compliant.
• You will manage day-to-day monitoring operations, triage alerts, identify data owners through technical code search, drive follow-ups, and ensure appropriate resolution across hundreds of partner teams. In addition, you will serve as a launch drivers supporting engineering teams by managing launch readiness, timelines, dependencies, and execution across multiple projects.
• This is an ideal opportunity for a technically fluent TPM who excels in highly matrixed environments and can move complex programs forward with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities:Operational Monitoring & Codebase Navigation:

• Own and manage a well-established operational workflow supporting regulatory-driven engineering processes.
• Review alerts and perform code searches to determine the correct data-store owners or engineering teams.
• Navigate large code repositories (across multiple languages) to identify ownership patterns—not to debug or write code.
• Maintain and prioritize a high-volume operational backlog; ensure timely triage and follow-up.
• Communicate with numerous engineering teams to drive alignment, set urgency, and facilitate resolution of issues.
• Leverage detailed internal playbooks while identifying improvements to enhance efficiency.

Engineering Feature Launch Program Management:

• Support launch readiness for engineering-led features by managing milestones, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder engagement.
• Partner with UX, engineering, product, legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal launch frameworks.
• Own the execution phase of launch programs—risk tracking, issue resolution, and cross-team communication.
• Provide clarity, structure, and support to engineering teams operating on accelerated timelines.
• Ensure all launch deliverables, documentation, and checkpoints are met according to established processes.

Experience:Strong Program Management Experience (2+ years):

• Ability to drive execution across multiple engineering teams.
• Experience managing risks, dependencies, timelines, and stakeholder communications.

SDLC Familiarity:

• Understanding of how software systems are developed, tested, deployed, and monitored.
• Ability to interpret engineering workflows, version control processes, and development pipelines.

Technical Comfort / Codebase Navigation:

1. Comfortable opening code, reading structural elements, and tracing ownership (no coding/debugging required).Ability to navigate repositories and developer tools without hesitation.

High Accountability & Operational Rigor:

1. Ability to manage large operational queues and maintain workflow quality.
2. Comfortable in high-volume communication environments.

Strong Stakeholder Management Skills:

• Experience collaborating with engineering teams, understanding context quickly, and driving alignment.
