Seasonal R&D Lab Tech

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Research Scientist, the Seasonal Research and Development Laboratory Technician will support ingredient evaluation and early-stage research efforts with the Research and Development team. They will be responsible for conducting routine and advanced lab procedures, collecting and analyzing data, and maintaining accurate and well-organized records. This position plays a key role in accelerating and advancing material, product and process development.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare, handle, and test ingredients and formulations according to established protocols.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data
• Maintain detailed, organized, and accurate notes and records
• Assist in researching new raw materials, ingredients, and processing methods
• Preform independent research projects or literature reviews to generate ideas
• Operate lab equipment in accordance with established protocols, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with team members to communicate findings, troubleshoot experiments, and support ongoing projects

Hours:

• Monday- Friday: 8:00am- 4:30pm
• 40 hours per week
• May- August 2026

Pay: 

• $17.34/hr

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in chemistry, food science, engineering, nutrition, or a related scientific field. Preferably pursuing a bachelor’s level degree.
• Willingness and eagerness to learn new techniques, methods, and technologies
• Experience in using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks
• Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and convey information clearly
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment by following written protocols and instructions
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records, data, and laboratory notes
