Seasonal Retail Store Associates

Are you friendly, dependable, and enjoy talking with people? Join the Cabot team for the season as a Seasonal Retail Associate at our Waterbury Annex and/or Hardwick Yellow Barn!

Our retail team helps create a welcoming experience for visitors while sharing the Cabot story and our award-winning cheese and dairy products with customers from near and far.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable customer service.
• Welcome customers and create a positive shopping experience.
• Operate the cash register and accurately process cash, credit card, and other transactions.
• Assist customers with product selection and answer questions about Cabot products.
• Stock, rotate, and organize merchandise and retail products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor.
• Monitor inventory and communicate when products need to be replenished.
• Package and prepare products for customers as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with other retail team members.
• Assist with special events, tastings, and other activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly and positive attitude.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine lifting and stocking duties.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Preferred:

• Previous retail, customer service, or food service experience.
• Previous cash-handling or point-of-sale experience.
• Knowledge or interest in Cabot products, cheese, and dairy.
• Experience working in a busy retail or customer-facing environment.

Starting Rate- $22 per hour

The role requires the ability to lift up to 40lbs and be comfortable standing during the shift
