Seasonal Sports Photographer

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Employment Type: Seasonal | Part-Time with potential for Full-Time

Pay Range :  $20.00- $ 25.00 per hour 

Work Location: On-site at sporting events and community venues

Position Summary

We're building a team of talented Sports Photographers with a passion for capturing the grit, pride, emotion, and unforgettable moments that define youth and school athletics. We are actively hiring for the upcoming fall sports season, with opportunities beginning in August.

This role goes beyond photographing action on the field. We're looking for creative professionals who can tell the complete story of an event—from pregame anticipation and sideline energy to game-changing moments, post-game celebrations, and the community spirit that surrounds High School sports. 

Whether you're capturing Friday night football, weekend tournaments, spring baseball, championship games, you'll play a key role in showcasing the athletes, teams, and communities we serve. If you are interested in this role, We'd love to learn more about your experience and creativity.

A portfolio showcasing your photography or videography, is a plus. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Photography

Capture high-quality action photography, team photos, and individual athlete portraits.

Document the full event experience, including pregame activities, coaches, fans, celebrations, and behind-the-scenes moments.

Ensure consistent image quality through proper camera settings, composition, and execution.

Upload and organize images according to company standards.

Set up, operate, and break down photography equipment. ( Equipment will be provided)

Produce engaging social media content that highlights athletes, teams, and community involvement.

Edit video content for social media platforms, marketing campaigns, and promotional use.

Create graphics and visual assets that support brand initiatives and event promotion.

Customer Service & Event Support

Interact professionally with coaches, athletes, parents, school administrators, and event staff. Follow event schedules and assignment requirements.

Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

Experience photographing live sports or fast-paced events.

Strong storytelling instincts and the ability to capture both action and emotional moments.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and seasonal schedules.

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to event locations.

Ability to work independently.

Preferred

2–5 years of experience in sports photography, sports videography, social media management, or creative content production.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar software).

Experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, or other social platforms.

Graphic design experience.

Portfolio demonstrating sports photography, videography, or social media content creation.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

Ability to move quickly and safely around athletic venues.
