Job Description

Spend Your Summer Making a Difference in Seaside! The City of Seaside is now hiring Seasonal Summer Help for our Public Works Department - a perfect opportunity to earn $20/hour while working outdoors, staying active, and supporting your community!

This temporary position runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day and is vital in keeping Seaside clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors alike. If you enjoy hands-on work, being outside, and having a variety of tasks each day, this might be the job for you!

Key Responsibilities Include:• Cleaning and maintaining public restrooms (sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, restocking)• ️ Emptying public trash cans and picking up litter at parks, beaches, and public spaces• Power washing sidewalks and boardwalk areas• Mowing, watering, trimming, and weeding in public parks• Painting city buildings, doors, and trim as needed• Operating city vehicles and using a variety of tools and equipment• Assisting with tasks in other public works divisions as needed

This physically active job requires lifting, walking, bending, and working in various weather conditions. Training and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided to ensure your safety on the job.

• Position Details:• 40 hours per week, including weekends and some holidays• Pay: $20.00 per hour (no benefits)• Location: City of Seaside – Public Works• Final candidates must pass a drug screen and medical exam
