Are you the kind of leader who likes seeing a plan come together in real time?

We're looking for a Second Shift Production Supervisor who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys leading a team toward a clear goal every day. At Merit Manufacturing, our production floor runs on coordination, preparation, and teamwork—and the Production Supervisor is right at the center of it all.

This role is perfect for someone who likes solving problems, organizing people, and keeping operations moving. You'll oversee several production lines, work closely with line leaders, and make sure the team has everything they need to hit their daily output targets.

Second shift is a unique and important part of our operation. While the day winds down for most people, your team will be keeping production running strong and preparing the facility for the next day's success.

If you're someone who likes setting expectations, keeping teams aligned, and making sure the shift runs smoothly from start to finish, we want to meet you.

Your Main Responsibilities

As a Second Shift Production Supervisor at Merit Manufacturing, you'll oversee the daily operation of 3–4 production lines and the line leaders who run them. Your job is to make sure the team is prepared, the work is organized, and the shift's production goals are met.

You'll help keep the floor running efficiently by coordinating people, solving problems, and making sure the details that matter don't fall through the cracks.

  • Oversee Multiple Production Lines Manage the operation of 3–4 production lines and the line leaders responsible for running them.

  • Set Expectations for Output Establish clear production goals and ensure each line understands the targets they are working toward.

  • Prepare for a Strong Shift Start Make sure each line has the materials, components, documentation, and staffing it needs so production starts on time.

  • Support Your Line Leaders Provide guidance, direction, and support to the line leaders who report to you.

  • Coordinate the Team Assign workers to the right roles on each line and ensure the team is positioned for success.

  • Keep Production Moving Solve minor problems, address non-technical equipment issues, and remove obstacles that could slow down production.

  • Own the Documentation Ensure production records and documentation are completed accurately for every line under your supervision.

  • Deliver the Daily Number You'll be responsible for meeting the production output targets assigned to your group of lines.

This role requires someone who can stay organized, keep calm under pressure, and help the team perform at its best.

Are You Qualified?

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environments.

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

  • Comfortable coordinating teams and managing multiple priorities at once.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to keep teams aligned.

  • Ability to identify problems quickly and find practical solutions.

  • Familiarity with production documentation and operational procedures.
