JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Security Architect to join the Information Security team at FOX. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and advancing security architecture across FOX's diverse technology ecosystem-from protecting mission-critical broadcast operations to enabling secure, resilient digital products operating at scale.

You will partner closely with technology teams, product owners, and platform developers to assess security posture, reason through complex system and data interactions, and guide architectural decisions that align with FOX's risk tolerance and business objectives. This role emphasizes critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to clearly communicate security concepts and tradeoffs, with the goal of continuously maturing FOX's Security Architecture program and the services it provides to internal stakeholders.

This role operates as an experienced individual contributor within an established Security Architecture practice, collaborating closely with other security architects and security leadership to advance FOX's security architecture capabilities and services.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct and contribute to security architecture reviews for applications, platforms, and infrastructure, evaluating risk and advising on appropriate security controls

• Contribute to the definition, documentation, and evolution of secure design patterns and reference architectures across a variety of technologies and use cases

• Analyze how systems integrate, how data flows across platforms, and how those interactions introduce or mitigate security risk

• Provide clear architectural guidance to platform and application teams, translating security requirements into actionable design considerations

• Drive vulnerability management efforts by helping teams contextualize findings within broader architectural and business risk

• Contribute to attack surface management by assisting teams in understanding exposure introduced through system design and integration patterns

• Assess supply chain and third-party risk through architectural reviews, data flow analysis, and policy alignment

• Partner with application security and DevSecOps teams to ensure security considerations are embedded into development lifecycles

• Contribute to AI security efforts by evaluating use cases, data usage, integration patterns, and responsible AI considerations in partnership with technology teams

• Support enterprise architecture initiatives by contributing security input to technology mappings, architectural patterns, and risk discussions across FOX's technology landscape

• Serve as a trusted security architecture advisor to internal stakeholders, supporting the continued maturity of security architecture as a consultative service

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Professional experience in information security with a strong focus on security architecture

• Experience applying established security architecture principles, standards, and patterns to real-world systems and applications

• Demonstrated ability to reason about system design, data usage, and architectural tradeoffs from a security perspective

• Experience contributing to secure design patterns, architectural standards, or reference models

• Proven experience in two or more of the following areas: cloud security, application security, vulnerability management, third-party risk, AI security, or system architecture

• Strong understanding of application, system, network, and cloud architecture concepts

• Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry best practices

• Working knowledge of operating systems, databases, cloud platforms, and modern development environments

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities

• Ability to align security architecture guidance with business objectives and platform strategy

• Experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams and technology domains

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

• Experience applying security architecture principles at enterprise scale

• Advanced security or cloud certifications (e.g., CISSP, GSEC, CEH, AWS Security Specialty)

• Background in platform engineering, application development, or systems design

• Experience supporting broadcast, media, or OTT streaming platforms

• Familiarity with securing AI/ML-enabled systems or data pipelines

• Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks or large-scale technology mapping initiatives

• Experience contributing to the maturity of security programs as internal advisory or consulting services

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $128,000.00-185,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
