THE ROLE:

Guard, patrol, and/ormonitorthevenue'spremises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Mayoperatemetal detector equipment. 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property. 

  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft andmaintainsecurity and safety of the premises. 

  • Maywritereports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. 

  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. 

  • Escort or drive motor vehicles to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection. Employees must successfully pass a motor vehicle background prior to operating any vehicle on behalf of the company.

  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas. 

  • Show CARE byparticipatingin the venue’s sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such assorting waste and collecting recyclingand educating our fans about our efforts. 

  • Partner with fellow band members at the end of the show to close the venue - this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, pickingupandproperly storingevent equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, etc. 

  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises. 

  • Responsible for entering availability 3 weeks in advance through the ABIMM systemEmployeeis further responsible for communicating with the supervisor should that availability change. 

  • Ensuring that time worked is accurately captured through the ABIMM system. 

Qualifications/Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Ages 18 and up.

  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check and in some cases a motor vehicle background.

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.

  • Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a businessenvironmentand enforcement procedures preferred. 

  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Acutesenseof judgment,tactand diplomacy.

  • A strong senseof teamwork andthe abilityto execute programs.

  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and working on your feet.Some, but not all, positions must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.

  • Require nights, weekends, and potentially holiday work (Memorial Day, 4thof July, and Labor Day) in all types of weather.  

  • Positions for all applicants will be assigned based on training, availability, skills,previousexperienceand needs for that evening’s show.  

  • All applicants must be able to commit to at least 50 percent of shows. You may not be picked for all the shows but must be available

  • Tolerance of loud noises.
