Job Description
NetCentric Technology LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a full time Armed Security Guard in Fairbanks, AK.The Fairbanks Command and Data Acquisition Station (FCDAS) is a 24-7 satellite tracking station operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in support of national and international operational and research environmental monitoring spacecraft. FCDAS occupies an 8,500-acre valley just outside of Fairbanks, Alaska and has in place all of the needed infrastructure required to be a self-sustaining campus. The Security crew is responsible for maintaining the ground security for this 8,500-acre site.Responsibilities:
Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspection of buildings and access points. Permits access to site for employees, visitors and other authorized personnel.Written reports daily of irregularities, observations, and violation of policy and procedures.Controls traffic by directing drivers, contractors and visitors.Maintain organization's reputation by complying with all legal requirements set by the Federal Government and/or State of Alaska.
Experience in one of the following requirements:• Two (2) years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard);• Any combination of two (2) years of experience in physical security (as a security officer, armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard);• Associate Degree or higher in a security-related or law enforcement related field;• Successful completion of a police officer's basic training academy;• Three (3) years of experience in physical security as a security officer, armed or unarmed.
Additional Requirements:
Possess a Current Drivers' License.Have current certification in CPR/First aid or ability to acquire within first 6 months of employment.Complete at least 40hr On the Job Training prior to being assigned a shift/job.Available to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and up to 10hr shift lengths.
