Join VMD Corp, part of Xcelerate Solutions and a leader in providing passenger and checked baggage screening services at various airports across the United States. VMD Corp has an immediate need forFull-TimeAirport Employee Screener with an active Security Guard Card.
What you will do:
Grow in a fulfilling career as anAirport Employee Screener working alongside a team of aviation security professionals. You will use your outstanding customer service and critical-thinking skills while identifying and preventing unsafe objects from exiting the airport.
Responsibilities specific to this role include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct thorough and efficient screening of airport employees entering restricted areas.
- Verify the identity and credentials of employees using established procedures.
- Operate screening equipment, such as metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
- Enforce security regulations and policies in a professional and courteous manner.
- Monitor employee behavior and report any suspicious activities or violations.
- Collaborate with airport authorities and law enforcement to address security concerns or incidents.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to employees regarding the screening process.
- Conduct property searches as part of the overall security strategy.
- Respond promptly to alarms or alerts generated by screening equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents.
What you will need:
- Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
- Have anactive Security Guard Card
- Hold a valid driver's license issued by the State of California
- Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays (flexibility is key)
- Ability to pass SIDA Badge background check
- Ability to interact professionally with the public with a focus on customer service
- Proven experience in security, screening, or a related field is preferred
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to communicate interaction with diverse individuals
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle high-stress situations calmly
- Attention to detail and commitment to following established security protocols
