Security Officer (Floater) – Broward & West Palm Beach Area
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hourSchedule: Flexible (Days, Evenings, Overnights, Weekends as needed)Location: Broward County & West Palm Beach, FL
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Officer (Floater) to support multiple client sites throughout the Broward and West Palm Beach areas. This role is ideal for a flexible officer who is dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in various environments on short notice. The Floater will provide coverage for call-outs, vacations, new account startups, and high-need shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide security coverage at various client locations as assigned.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.
- Conduct routine patrols (foot and/or vehicle).
- Monitor access control points and verify credentials.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents or emergencies.
- Enforce client policies and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Florida Security D License (Required).
- TWIC Card (Preferred / Plus).
- Reliable personal transportation (Required – must be able to travel between Broward and West Palm Beach).
- Flexible availability (including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts).
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to pass background screening and drug test.
