Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION:
- Maintain the security of the building and operate firefighting equipment as necessary.
REPORTING LINE:
- Reports to Security Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains security watches at building entrance and patrols building to ensure safety of residents, noting and correcting irregularities (i.e., open doors, windows, etc.)
- Maintains activity log and completes incident reports as required.
- Inspects and maintains security equipment as directed.
- Assists in fire drills as directed. Performs daily check of fire safety equipment, logging conditions encountered, and filling out service requests as needed.
- Assists residents and staff, as needed, to maintain the orderly functioning of the residence.
- Pass a background check and be able to hold a valid NYS security license.
- Participate in and pass the yearly basic CPR course.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred with at least 1 year of experience.
