Job Description
As a Security Officer 3, armed, for Fiore Industries, you will be responsible for the security and safety of Spaceport Americas property and personnel. This position requires you to work either day or night, as a member of a team. You are expected to learn and employ all site-specific policies and procedures and implement emergency response activities as appropriate while providing superior customer service. Ideal Candidates should possess a valid New Mexico level 3 guard card, or have the ability to pass firearms certification and pass a psychological examination to obtain a New Mexico level 3 guard license within 90 days of hire. The ability to work Nights, Weekends, special events, Holidays, and inclement weather will be required. Fiore Industries participates in several community relations events throughout the year and participation in these will be required also.
· Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting building, equipment, and access points; and permitting entry.
· Conducts proper investigation and inquiries into all incidents, accidents, security issues, and situations impacting the facility or clients' interest, its employees, partners, and guests including but not limited to damages, losses, safety matters, or injury.
· Provide detailed reports to the Security Manager
· Patrol the facility as directed to prevent or minimize property loss, property damage, personal injury, or situations hurting the organization.
· Monitor the entrance of vehicles or people on the property.
· Responds to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
· Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
· Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures.
· Complete reports by recording observations, information, and occurrences.
· Compliance with all guidance, instruction, policies, and procedures of the organization and the proper execution of assigned duties.
· Completes all duties as otherwise assigned.
This is a Safety Sensitive position; the employee is responsible for his/her own safety or other people's safety. This position is subject to the federal Drug-Free Workplace Act. Employer may institute random urinalysis drug testing.
