Here at AmeriGuard Security, we are looking for Armed and Unarmed Security Officers. This position is responsible for deterring criminal activity by adhering to a facility's security measures. Their duties include reviewing video surveillance equipment to identify odd behaviors, patrolling the interior and exterior of a property in set intervals, and only providing property access to authorized individuals.

To be successful as a security guard, you must be alert and professional. A good security guard is aware of all visitors to the property and ensures that no inappropriate actions take place.

Job Title: Flex Security Officer (Open Shift Coverage)

Job Summary.

We seek a reliable and flexible Security Officer to join our team. This role covers open shifts on short notice due to vacations, illnesses, or unexpected needs. Ideal for those seeking variable hours with competitive pay and the ability to work across multiple sites or shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays). Availability and responsiveness are key to success.

Flex Officer means you are only paid for the hours you actually work once called in and on duty.

This role typically advances to a regular work schedule.

Security Officer:

• Inspecting and patrolling premises regularly.
• Monitoring surveillance cameras and reporting suspicious behavior.
• Communicating with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical personnel.
• Monitoring public access and ensuring the security of all personnel and visitors.
• Responding to alarms and analyzing security footage.
• Investigating suspicious behavior, incidents, and security breaches.
• Maintaining an activity log and preparing surveillance reports.
• Adhering to company policies and legal regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid California Guard Card. Show guard card number on resume.
• Valid California Drivers License for driving positions.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal mobile phone.
• Fluent in English language.
• 40 hours of required BSIS training or must complete within 6 months of employment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Stamina and Endurance: Must be able to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods, often 8-12 hours per shift, including on various terrains or in outdoor conditions.
• Mobility and Agility: Ability to navigate stairs, ladders, or uneven surfaces; may include light running or quick response in emergencies.
• Strength: Capable of lifting 10-25 pounds regularly, such as for handling equipment, restraining individuals, or moving barriers.
• Vision and Hearing: Good eyesight (with or without corrective lenses) and hearing to monitor surroundings, detect issues, or communicate effectively.
• Overall Health: No significant medical conditions that impair performance.
