Job Overview:We are currently seeking professional and dedicated Unarmed Security Officers to join our team, providing security services at grocery store locations. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a calm demeanor, and experience in loss prevention. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are reliable, committed, and looking to make a positive impact on community safety.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a visible presence to deter theft and ensure the safety of employees and customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with store patrons.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and follow established protocols.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and store premises for suspicious activity.
- Document incidents and complete reports as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with store management and law enforcement if required.
Requirements:
- Customer service skills: Ability to interact positively with store patrons and employees.
- Calm demeanor: Maintain composure in high-stress or emergency situations.
- Loss prevention experience: Prior experience in loss prevention or related security roles.
- CPR certification: Must hold a current CPR certification.
- Guard Card: Valid California Guard Card required.
- Reliable transportation: Must have a dependable means of getting to and from work.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position is preferred
- Valid registration as a security officer
- High school diploma/GED
- Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
- Excellent written communication skills and report writing ability
- Ability to operate surveillance equipment
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Guardian International Solutions Inc. was founded by a former Marine and currently active Police Officer with 21 years of both public safety and security services in the private sector experience. We provide protection Services for schools, churches, and businesses, as well as overseas protection services for clients abroad. Within the last 4 years our company has been hired to provide quality loss prevention, threat assessment, active shooter response, and armed patrol services to businesses such as Kroger (Ralph’s and Food For Less) and Larry H. Parker Law Firms. Our officers attend proper use of force training every three to four months as well as threat assessment training.
It is of paramount importance to create a mutually beneficial business relationship between both you and Guardian International Solutions Inc. This is accomplished by providing a service that is peerless in the security industry. To deter criminal elements, our officers will proactively patrol the property. This will be accomplished by constant foot patrols throughout their shift. These officers will rapidly respond to all emergency and non-emergency situations that may arise.
GIS believes in complete transparency and keeping our clients informed. Our highly trained officers will complete detailed reports of all incidents and arrest made on property. These reports will be compressed into a weekly briefing that will be emailed to management. A trespass binder will be stored onsite with pictures and completed reports to assist in the arrest of unwanted persons on property.
