Security Officer

Job Summary:

Provides security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.

Job Description:

Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats. Manages acute behavioral events utilizing appropriate techniques.

Utilizes de-escalation techniques to protect safety of patients, staff and visitors.

Responds to alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans according to policy and procedures. Actively participates in planned drills and simulations.

Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises. Coordinates with local law enforcement officials and EMS/firefighters to assist in providing safe atmosphere.

Operates a motor vehicle to conduct MaineGeneral Health business
