Security Officer

Millennium Hotels and Resorts is seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to join our esteemed team at our hotel. As a Security Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of our guests, employees, and hotel property while maintaining a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

You will be the first line of defense against potential security threats, and your keen observation skills will help to identify and address any suspicious activity. This role involves conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding quickly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies.

Your professional demeanor and outstanding communication skills will foster a culture of safety and reassurance for our guests. You will also collaborate with various departments to develop and implement safety procedures, contributing to a secure environment that promotes an enjoyable experience for everyone.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor and respond to alarms, surveillance systems, and emergency situations.
• Interact with guests and staff to provide assistance and ensure a safe atmosphere.
• Report any incidents, suspicious activities, or safety hazards to management.
• Assist in the evacuation of guests during emergencies and implement appropriate safety protocols.
• Enforce hotel policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as necessary.
• Provide training and guidance to staff regarding safety and security measures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or law enforcement training is preferred.
• Prior experience as a security officer or in a related role within the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and safety regulations.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform security-related tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting.
• Flexible availability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Certification in CPR, first aid, and/or security training programs is a plus.
• Dallas Training - required by State of TN
• Up to date Guard License - State of TN
