Gatehouse Security Officer
Company: SMI Security.Location: Highland Beach, FL 33487.Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour.Start Date: March 25, 2026.
Position Overview:
SMI Security is currently seeking a professional and experienced Gatehouse Security Officer for a high-traffic residential/commercial account located in Highland Beach, FL (33487). This position requires prior gatehouse experience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage vehicle and visitor access while maintaining a secure and welcoming presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access at the gatehouse entry point.
- Verify resident, visitor, and vendor credentials.
- Manage guest logs and access control systems.
- Conduct vehicle checks when required.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports.
- Communicate effectively with management and residents.
- Respond promptly to incidents and follow proper escalation procedures.
- Ensure all site security protocols are strictly followed.
Qualifications:
- Prior gatehouse security experience (required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume traffic environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to stand/sit for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid Florida Security D License (required).
- Clean background.

- Full-time / Part-time opportunities available.
