Job Description

The Miami HEAT and the Kaseya Center are looking for a full-time Security Officer that will assist in the handling of any security-related disturbances or problems that might arise during events or at the facility. Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during events or at the facility.If necessary, escort disruptive individuals to the security office and/or off the premises.
Write incident reports and meet with the security supervisor to review procedures.
Inspect alarms and fire extinguisher/sprinkler systems to ascertain they are set to operate.Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
Tour the facility examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secured.
Assist with crowd control inside and outside the premises.
Control unusual circumstances and events during a fire, storms, riots, and other emergencies.
Answer alarms and investigates disturbances.
Assist departments with any security-related issues.
Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Assist security division with special projects.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Must have a minimum of one-year related security experience and/or training. Must demonstrate knowledge of security issues related to major sports and entertainment venues. A Class D License is required.
