As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, CNS Healthcare's mission is to serve the people of our communities. The Security Supervisor performs general safety and security work to prevent behavior issues of persons served, accidents, and injuries in the agency.
Compensation Range:
The starting pay for this position is up to $52,900.00 yearly salary, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.

Essential Functions:
- Provides safe and secure atmosphere for all staff and visitors to CNS facilities.
- Ensures smoking and parking ordinances are followed.
- Completes incident reports as needed and maintains accurate records.
- Provides and/or implements security and security protocols for all assigned facilities
- Initiates proactive steps to provide a safe and secure working environment to staff andvisitors.
- Provides specialized security for and monitors access to limited and restricted access area
- Ensures that all safety and security policies and procedures are followed
- Ensures compliance with accreditation standards (i.e., CARF) relative to safety andsecurity.
- Maintains professional competency relative to changing trends in safety and security.
- Demonstrates empathy in understanding the special needs of consumers and proper guideline for use of force.
- Maintains logs and paperwork.
- Conducts regular walk-throughs and security inspections for assigned facilities
- Assists with facilities drills and provide follow up training as requires
- Lead or participate in at least one process improvement initiative
- Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervises the CNS Healthcare Security Team and Contracted Security Team.
- Completes employee evaluations as required, including examples of behavior, ways foremployees to improve performance, and development of goals for the coming year.
- Monitors work schedules of staff and adhere to human resource policies and proceduresrelative to the attendance policy, keeping accurate attendance records, and noting anyverbal/written warnings in annual evaluation.
- Monitors service productivity and assure coverage of vacations, sick leaves, etc.
- Approves staff, timesheets, and paid time off in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 plus years of previous security experience.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Ability to recognize the possibility of physical confrontations and ability to such situationseffectively.
- Hearing acuity and effective listening skills required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and courteously
- Ability to use discretion and judgmental when handling matters of a sensitive orconfidential nature
- Advanced time management, problem solving, customer service, interpersonal,collaboration and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to be forward thinking and take initiative to accomplish goals and objectives of thedepartment
- Intermediate level experience with computers and Microsoft office products
- Working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations, the CNS Corporate Compliance Program, CNS Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures.
- Ability to understand and value cultural and ethnic differences, their alternative perspectives, lifestyles, etc.
- Ability to format documents and use proper grammar, punctuation, and spell check.
