Security Product Manager

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Product Manager for Security EngineeringWe are seeking a Product Manager to support the Security Engineering team within the IT division at the Board of Governors of Client. This team is responsible for the strategy, design, deployment, and maintenance of effective security solutions in cloud, local, and hybrid environments.REQUIREMENTS: The candidate shall possess the knowledge and skills set forth in the Technical Services Client, Section3.2.4.2 for labor category Senior Product Manager. The candidate shall also demonstrate the below knowledge and experience:• 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 4+ years focused on working withsecurity engineering teams• Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, managing backlogs, and delivering roadmaps• Strong understanding of security concepts and technologies related to Identity and AccessManagement (IAM), security engineering, network security design, security operations, securityarchitecture, general engineering processes, cloud security, data loss protection, zero trust,DevSecOps and vulnerability management.• Security Engineering mindset with Subject Matter Expertise and hands-on experience in asecurity domain• Demonstrated experience streamlining and automating business processes through technologysolutions• Demonstrated federal experience and comprehensive knowledge in adopting and implementingfederal cybersecurity requirements, including but not limited to the NIST CybersecurityFramework, OMB Memorandum M-22-09, NIST SP 800-53• Possess deep analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting experience, to independentlyresolve complex security challenges.• Experience with Agile development methodologies and collaborating closely with engineeringand DevOps teams• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex security concepts for variousaudiences• Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder managementPersonnel Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field or equivalent software engineering experience• Experience working in an agile environment• Extensive experience working with engineering teams and enterprise architects • Experience defining and driving product strategy for security engineering-related initiatives• Ability to translate complex technical security engineering concepts into clear productrequirements• Ability to effectively manage both technical and non-technical stakeholders• Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and processes. The Contractor shall deliver, but not limited to, the following:• Define, prioritize and maintain the product backlog for security engineering initiatives includingbut not limited to:o Cloud Securityo Identity and Access Managemento Security tooling and automationo High level customer support• Gather and synthesize requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders to informstrategy and prioritization decisions.• Support enhanced understanding and availability of policy and process requirements across theorganization• Translate regulatory requirements, policy and stakeholder needs into well-definedproduct/process requirements and user stories• Develop product roadmaps for security engineering automation tools and help drive measurableimprovements in efficiency and risk reduction • Manage and prioritize the team backlog, balancing short term needs with long term strategy• Manage stakeholder communication, alignment and transparency about roadmap and outcomes• Measure outcomes and use feedback and data to inform continuous improvement of processesand services.
