Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership & Culture

  • Participate in Daily Visual Management (DVM/VDM) meetings to monitor safety performance and program effectiveness

Security Operations & Incident Response

  • Serve as the onsite safety and security SME for distribution and logistics facilities

  • Conduct incident investigations (accidents, loss, theft, security events) and deliver root cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Act as primary liaison to contract security vendors, auditing performance and ensuring policy compliance

  • Support crisis management and emergency response efforts

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Conduct monthly safety and security audits

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, TAPA FSR, NAID, and applicable ISO standards

  • Serve as the primary contact with local police, fire, and government agencies

  • Monitor vendor budgets, approve invoices, and ensure systems remain operational

Influence & Collaboration

  • Partner with warehouse, operations, and leadership teams to reinforce safety and security standards

  • Influence behavior and drive compliance without direct decision-making authority

  • Communicate safety performance through meetings, trainings, toolbox talks, town halls, and internal platforms

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in safety, security, or risk management

  • Strong communication, follow-up, and documentation skills

  • Experience working independently in an operational or warehouse environment

  • Ability to respond to off-hours incidents when needed

Preferred

  • Background in logistics, distribution centers, or warehouse operations

  • Experience with safety certifications and regulatory compliance

  • Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and influence cross-functional teams

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Why you should apply:
