About the Role

xAI is seeking an engaging and professional security champion to support the ongoing growth of the organization's safety program. Reporting to the Security Operations Lead, the Security Specialist will be prepared for response to security related incidents on site at all times. The Security Specialist is a critical member of the onsite security team and will operate with a heightened sense of security awareness.

This is an in-person role based in Memphis, Tennessee, and may require minimal travel.

Responsibilities

• In concert with site security guards, act as immediate response for on-site security issues.
• Perform periodic inspections of data hall equipment and personnel.
• Support the Security Ops Lead with on-site security guard force oversight.
• Audit security procedures and identify process improvements.
• Document all security-related incidents with detailed reports.
• Help facilitate and participate in drills that maintain readiness for emergency situations.
• Adapt to various roles within the security team, taking on different tasks based on operational needs.
• This role will operate on either a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of military, law enforcement, or emergency response experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
• Personal integrity is crucial. This position is expected to maintain operational security and safeguard sensitive information
• CPR/AED Certified.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPP, PSP or equivalent certifications are a plus.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in military, law enforcement or emergency response.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting access control and video management systems.
• Experience in a safety function managing large sites, corporate, or manufacturing environments is desirable.
