Job Description
The Legendary Galt House Hotel is looking for a qualified individual to assume the role of a 3rd Shift Security Supervisor during the hours of (11 PM- 7 AM). The criteria for this position is as follows:
Job Description
- Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, associates and hotel premises
- Oversee comprehensive training for new Officers
- Monitor staff performance and activities
- Complete several types of reports on a daily basis
- Identify and correct, or report potentially hazardous conditions or situations
- Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner in cases of fire, accident and safety concerns
- Patrol the property and monitor surveillance equipment for suspicious activity
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Ensure that any violations to law or hotel policy is investigated and reported
- Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards
- Report and investigate occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations
- Conduct departmental key control audits and maintain key control records
- Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Security role required
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
- Certification in CPR First Aid desired
- Must possess a professional presentation
- Strong interpersonal and problem- solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
