Job Summary:

Provides protection for company personnel, property and product by implementing and maintaining security systems, policies, procedures and practices. Manages assigned scope of responsibility for one or more of the following programs: physical security, loss prevention, supply chain security, crisis/emergency management, business continuity, incident investigations, and/or executive protection. Provides direction to contracted security services personnel supporting ongoing programs or supplying specific expertise on an ad hoc basis.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manages the ongoing development and administration of emergency/crisis management and preparedness plans, procedures, training and activities.
  • Participates with global security team members and key stakeholders in crisis management activities related to risk assessment, emergency/incident response, building evacuations, life safety, business continuity/resumption planning, and related activities.
  • Develops and maintain liaisons with federal agencies, local government organizations, and similar entities in order to facilitate emergency plan development, response effort coordination, and enhanced situational awareness.
  • Assists in the management and administration of the emergency notification systems to provide alert and warnings as necessary.
  • Conducts audits, assesses risk and implements appropriate levels of physical security to prevent losses and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborates with suppliers, wholesalers, distributors, customs brokers and other business critical functions to implement strategies, programs and technologies designed to prevent loss throughout the supply chain. Identifies opportunities to strengthen internal processes and minimize risks.
  • Investigates loss events, ethics and compliance issues and other incidents.
  • Participates in the design, bid process, contract negotiation, vendor selection, oversight and/or management of security systems installation, systems maintenance or service contracts.
  • Gathers intelligence and analytics related to crime trends, potential threats and industry trends relating to security and/or supply chain vulnerability.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Level Specifications:

  • Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business or technical support teams comprised of individual contributors. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion. May coordinate work activities with other supervisors.
  • Directs routine and repetitive operations of team.
  • Assignments are largely established in accordance with schedules and deliverables. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plans.
  • Collaborates daily with direct reports and peers within similar functions primarily for the purpose of exchanging information.
  • Decisions have a direct impact on team operations. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules and require the allocation of additional time, people and/or financial resources.

Work Experience:

  • Typically 4+ years relevant work experience

Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
