Job Description

Evergreen Fire & Security is seeking an ICIDS II / Security Systems Administrator to support electronic security systems in federal and DoD environments.

This role supports the operation, maintenance, and integrity of ICIDS Intrusion detection, CCTV, and related security systems across secure facilities.

The position is focused on security system administration and field coordination rather than general IT infrastructure or cloud-based systems.

The Opportunity

This opportunity as a Systems Administrator in Tacoma, Washington is perfect for an IT professional who enjoys maintaining servers and/or other computer systems. This individual will be responsible for quality control, technical support, system build, system design, onsite commissioning, acceptance testing, end-user training of low-voltage systems, CCTV, and access control. 

The Responsibilities

  • Performs system administration, maintenance, and repair activities across assigned systems and platforms.
  • Oversees secure system architecture, including network segmentation, access controls, and integrated system components, ensuring required security measures are applied to software and hardware.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains monitoring, surveillance, or related systems, including associated software and hardware components.
  • Manages system configurations and user account activity, ensuring required information is maintained for active and inactive accounts.
  • Applies and manages change, approval, or authorization processes prior to deploying new equipment or updates into production environments.
  • Diagnoses and resolves system errors, working to minimize downtime and operational impact.
  • Maintains the security and integrity of network and data transmission systems.
  • Ensures system databases and account records remain accurate, current, and properly maintained.
  • Tracks and manages account status, including activation and deactivation.
  • Reports critical system events, issues, or risks to appropriate leadership or designated points of contact.
  • Supports software and hardware for current system architecture;
  • Maintains programming for accurate and up-to-date account information;
  • Ensures time-sensitive reports and other information are created and submitted within the required time frames;
  • Provides support to field technicians during maintenance and repair efforts;
  • Oversees daily upkeep and administrative completion of required reports and schedules;
  • Interfaces with internal customers, including Engineering and Operations, with the technical information necessary to improve installations;
  • Collaborates with peer groups as it relates to the development, writing, and finalizing of submittals;
  • Develops and modifies new and existing standards, processes, and manuals;
  • Effectively represents Evergreen Fire and Security professionally and invitingly;
  • Ensures compliance with safety policies; and
  • Reads and understands blueprints, project instructions, and company forms.

The Necessities

  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience system maintenance, repair, and/or administration and management
  • Secret Clearance
  • SQL

Great to Have

  • Low-voltage experience
  • Prior experience working on government contracts or military bases

Pay range is $79,000 - $96,000 for well-qualified candidates.
