Job Description

The Role

The Semiconductor Resiliency Lead will play a critical role in fortifying the organization's semiconductor supply chain against a range of vulnerabilities, including geopolitical tensions, natural disasters, and market fluctuations. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams to identify risks, develop proactive mitigation strategies, and ensure the uninterrupted availability of critical components for production.

What You'll Do

  • Risk Management & Assessment: Oversee scenario planning and conduct comprehensive supplier and supply chain risk assessments across the entire semiconductor ecosystem. Identify potential weaknesses in the supply chain for high-risk components and develop contingency strategies.
  • Strategic Planning & Implementation: Develop and execute cohesive, long-term strategies for current and future supply needs, focusing on resilience, market trends, and government regulations (e.g., CHIPS Act).
  • Supplier Management: Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with domestic and international suppliers to diversify the supplier base and reduce dependency on single sources or regions. Negotiate contracts and long-term supply agreements to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, sales, and finance) to align supply chain activities with business objectives and resolve supply chain challenges.
  • Process Improvement: Invent and implement process improvements, best practices, and advanced digital tools (e.g., AI, data analytics, ERP systems) to enhance supply chain visibility and efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance & Failure Analysis: Investigate quality concerns related to semiconductor components, coordinate with suppliers on root cause analysis and corrective actions, and establish robust quality assurance processes.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Institute procedures for collecting and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain resilience, delivery times, and supplier performance. Deliver regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior and executive leadership.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, material planning, or procurement.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, quality control, and industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex issues and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, negotiate effectively, and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a high-energy, constantly evolving environment and adapt quickly to market changes and unexpected disruptions.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Bachelors in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
  • MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CSCP, PMP) is a plus.
  • at least 2 years in a leadership or project management role within the electronics or semiconductor industry.
