What we do:

The Sr. Accountant, Accounting Reporting and Analytics, will be responsible for preparing reporting and data analytics to provide strategic and actionable insights derived from primarily historical financial data.  The job includes analyzing data and identifying drivers, trends and root causes.  Prepare manual and automated reports and dashboards, support report automation efforts, and help drive adoption of reporting tools and insights.

This role reports to the Director of Accounting Reporting and Analytics. The role will partner with Accounting, FP&A, SEC Reporting, Finance Systems, Business Intelligence and other teams as necessary. There will be a mix of monthly recurring reporting deliverables and other ad-hoc/project based deliverables needs.

We’re looking for an experienced professional with an understanding of accounting systems and related data outputs, including Oracle ERP and other reporting tools. This role requires experience using financial data to prepare schedules, perform analysis, and identify trends and variances. The ideal candidate is organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and capable of translating complex financial information into clear and useful reporting.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare reports and dashboards on various accounting related data – including, but not limited to revenue, costs, accounting productivity, transaction velocity – analyzing drivers, trends, root causes and providing or facilitating business insights. Work with Business Intelligence and Finance Systems reporting teams to obtain data and support automated reports and dashboards.
  • Prepare summaries of data and analyses, highlighting key findings, trends, and potential areas for follow-up.
  • Assist the Director, Accounting Reporting and Analytics in the implementation of reporting and analysis projects.
  • Help triage and respond to internal requests for accounting related reporting.
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests, projects, and analyses for accounting leadership and cross-functional business partners.
  • Support monthly and quarterly review processes by preparing analyses, schedules, and reporting materials for accounting leadership.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or a related field; MBA and/or CPA is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in a combination of corporate finance (accounting/data analytics/FP&A).
  • Knowledge of accounting systems, financial reporting systems, report building and data visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles.
  • Proficient/Advanced Excel skills, with experience or interest in working with IT experts to extract data from and into databases (Oracle, Vertica, etc.) and building the design and testing reports and dashboards built in data visualization tools (Tableau & Incorta).
  • Proven ability to execute reports and perform ad-hoc analyses.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely to accounting leadership and cross-functional business partners.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively on cross-functional projects, manage assigned deliverables, and meet deadlines while working with multiple stakeholders.
  • High integrity and a proactive approach to supporting the business.
