Senior Accountant

Who You'll Work With:

The Revenue Accounting team of AB is in search of a Senior Accountant to join their U.S. Controller's organization. The candidate will report to the Manager of Revenue Accounting.

What You'll Do:

The Senior Accountant will be involved in the monthly close process including preparing and reviewing journal entries, revenue analysis and revenue reporting. This role partners with other departments including Global Fund Administration, TA Administration, AUM Reporting, General Accounting, Billing, Legal and other business units and international counterparts.

• Prepare journal entries
• Calculate Investment Advisory related accruals
• Monitor interface controls
• Manage user maintained tables and processes
• Ensure month end closing activities including reconciliations and analysis are performed accurately and on time
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and analytics
• Prepare monthly and quarterly basis point analytical reviews of all AUM based fees to incorporate into management commentary
• Accounts receivable aging analysis
• Collect, analyze and consolidate financial data from multiple sources
• Respond to internal and external inquiries, ad hoc requests and projects as required
• Liaise with multiple departments and offices globally to ensure revenues are recognized in compliance with Revenue Accounting policies, procedures and US GAAP

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting
• Understanding of US GAAP
• CPA a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and work independently
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Proficiency in standard desktop applications (excel, word, outlook, etc).
